Continuously injection-molded plastic Velcro is a process innovation that Foster-Miller developed for the Velcro Group USA. This type of Velcro is less expensive and has many uses in addition to the standard textile fastener. The patented process takes advantage of continuous molding techniques and is widely used in Velcro® plants worldwide to produce fasteners for automotive seats, diapers, detachable armor, and many other applications.
In addition to the familiar plastic Velcro product, Foster-Miller has been instrumental in developing Velcro made of other materials for high temperature applications and capable of use in space applications.
