Transdermals can be a new delivery system for old drugs. G.D. Searle had developed a silicone matrix delivery system for nitroglycerin and other drugs, and wanted to enter the market rapidly. In just 53 weeks, Foster-Miller designed, procured, built and installed a nitroglycerin transdermal production facility.
